HEART OF THE DOG

mixed media on paper

Derived from idyllic Green Mountains, rivers and rural architecture, my home nestled in the Granite State is the bedrock of my work. I witness the herd of deer that frequent my yard, the trace of rabbits, foxes and woodchucks. Birdsong awakens the gardens in the spring. The single streetlight illuminates a sliver of my neighborhood, when the moon sleeps.

My painterly compositions capture movement, unconscious of time. Each piece embraces the essence of the land I traverse to reveal an aspect of the natural order of my surroundings. My art provides a respite, an opportunity unfolding over time to engage and discover magic.
